To expand its library, Netflix will be releasing the final season of the series named ‘The Last kingdom’. The Last Kingdom is a British historical fiction series based on books 9 and 10 of The Saxon stories and directed by an artist who played the lead role in all seasons named Alexander Dreymon. The storyline of season 5 of this series
The storyline of this season will cover up portions of the books named The Saxon stories by author Bernard Cornwell which remained untouched. In the fourth season, Uthred gets close to his children much as compared to the other season and there was an unsafe ceasefire that took place between the Danes and Saxons. It happens after Danes caught Winchester without King Edward. At that time Uthred made a deal with them to take Winchester in return for King Edward. The upcoming season will also be based upon the past storyline, in which Uthred understands the whole situation and believes that his fate is connected to Bebbanburg and the fate of England. This season will bring more excitement, adventure and thrill as compared to its previous stories because of the addition of some characters and due to twists in the storyline. People who watched the other 4 seasons will get more excited to know about what will happen in the final season.
Expected release date
The filming of season 5 was wrapped up in June 2021 but Netflix didn’t announce the date of this series yet. But most probably the final season of this series will get released in the upcoming year. We all are very excited to watch the final season of this series.
